Google Releases Japanese Input Method Beta

Using the vast information available on the world wide web, Google is able to collect vocabularies and phrases. During character input, Google is able to calculate and suggest the best words or phrases.

The software was started by two Japanese 工藤拓 Tokushi Kudo and 小松弘幸 Hiroyuki Komatsu using their “20% time” in Google, and then more engineers were involved.

Apart from the new Japanese input method, Google also have Chinese Pinyin Input Method (simplified Chinese), which is also able to input traditional Chinese.

Google Japanese input method supports Windows XP SP2、Windows Vista SP1、Windows 7及Mac OSX Leopard (10.5), however, Linux is not yet supported.
